The safety of our team and customers is our first priority
The Highbury Barn can ensure customers that we will be operating high standards of safety and hygiene to fall in line with Government guidelines so you can enjoy your time with us safely. There have been some changes to comply with this.
Our opening times have temporarily changed and we have interim menus while we get used to the new normal.
After much work behind the scenes and the deepest of deep cleans we have instigated new cleaning regimes that take place regularly throughout the day, everyday.
Cleaning frequency has increased with every table being thoroughly cleaned after each customers visit.
To avoid handling cash, we are encouraging contactless payments. The current limit for card payments has been increased to £45. We also accept Apple Pay and Google Pay.
We are following Government advice on social distancing so would appreciate our customer’s understanding and comply with this.
Don’t forget you can use your mobile phone to make a booking and view our menus. Please remember BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL.
To protect others please do not come if you have any of these symptoms
The main symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are:
A high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature).
A new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual).
A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal.
Seating
In order to meet the current UK Government guidance on safe distancing in bars / restaurants, we have had to make some changes to our interior layouts. Please make sure you speak to a team member before sitting down at a table, even if it’s unoccupied.
Booking
So we can ensure safe distancing is adhered to it is essential that you pre-book. You can do this by phone, on our website or using our website on your phone. We would also appreciate that you do not arrive too early before your booking so we have time to get clean your table thoroughly and have it ready for you. Your food and drinks orders will be taken at your table and served at the table by a member of our team.
Are walk-ins allowed?
Whilst we will always try and accommodate walk-ins, social distancing measures mean this may not always be possible, or you may incur a wait. We strongly recommend for your own convenience that you book ahead. We take bookings on the day so even if it’s a last minute thought it’s always worth a try, as who knows, there may be a table available.
What if I just want a drink?
You are more than welcome to come for drinks, however Government guidelines are that you must be seated during your visit, so the same rules will apply as if you were coming to eat. Your drinks orders will be taken at your table and served at the table by a member of our team.
Track and Trace - Giving my details
As part of the Governments’ track and trace initiative, when you arrive you’ll be asked to register your details. It will be securely stored and only used if there is a need to check should a Coronavirus outbreak occur and we or the public health authorities need to contact guests. Your details will be securely destroyed after 21 days.
Do I have to give my details if I have booked by phone or via the website?
If you have done either of these we will already have your details in our system so there will be no need to give your details again.
Is our beer garden open?
Yes, but please make sure you speak to a team member before sitting down at a table, even if it’s unoccupied. Your food and drinks orders will be taken at your table and served at the table by a member of our team.
